The single most important meal of the day is your Post-Workout Meal. It's the one meal that provides the greatest results. So what kinds of foods do you want for this? Well, it first needs to give your body a high source of protein to help repair the muscle fibers that tear down during exercise. You also want to replace the carbs that you use up during activity. And the key is you want this to take place quickly. So if you were ever going to cheat, this is the time to get in some sugary carbs! It accelerates the intake of proteins into the body following your workout. Here is one of my favorite post-workout meals. It's high in protein, essentially fat free, and gives your body the nutrients it needs after intense exercise.

1/2 cup of Liquid Egg Whites
1/2 cup of Dry or Quick Oats
1 tbsp of Cottage Cheese
1 scoop of Protein Powder (Chocolate, Vanilla, etc.)
1 tbsp of Sugar

Mix in a blender until a smooth consistency. Great with a banana!

18g Carbs
1g Fat
