The scorpion is a great body weight core exercise that works your entire body within this one move.
Begin in a Pushup Hold position, keeping a neutral spine with your abs tight. Your hands should be directly under your shoulders and feet shoulder-width apartRotating one hip up under the other extend your lower leg towards the opposite side, pointing the toe, and keeping it off the ground. Hold for 1 second and return to pushup hold position. Repeat for the other side.
This exercise is great for improving your upper body strength, working both the abs & obliques and getting addition inner thigh work all in one move.
It's an advanced move so if your just beginning you can start out with more basic core exercises and build up and as always consult a physician before beginning any physical training program.
