FASTFIT MOVE OF THE WEEK: THE SINGLE LEG DEADLIFT
The Single Leg Deadlift (SLDL) is just as it sounds - a one-legged version of a deadlift. There are different versions of this, the one featured here is a straight-legged, single-leg deadlift. Deadlifts themselves can be challenging enough, but doing on only one leg will really challenge your balance, glutes, hamstrings, and stabilizer muscles throughout your lower body.
This particular video illustrates the levels progression from a beginner if you've never even attempted the move, up to transitioning from body-weight only into more advanced compound moves utilizing equipment such as resistance bands as we do here. You can also progress the move by incorporating dumbbells or hand weights into the move.
All in all, this is one of the great all time moves for toning the back of thighs and glute area!
